Morning blood pressure is shown important in predicting stroke as reported in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology article,”Morning Home Blood Pressure Is a Strong Predictor of Coronary Artery Disease,” 2016;67(13):1519-1527.
They recommend that people record their morning blood pressure readings to show to their doctors. They were especially concerned with morning systolic pressures of 145 or over compared to those 125 or lower.
Generally, normal blood pressure is considered to be about 120/80, however, as either of these numbers climb higher, the more you need to take steps to intervene.. If your blood pressure is climbing, make an appointment with your health care professional.
