Teflon: another hazard to your health?

Teflon and non-sticking cooking pans, are named as one of the toxins that adversely affect the thyroid. See more at:

I also am concerned about the use of copper in cookware. Some people do not eliminate copper adequately. A build up of copper in the body system can imitate bi-polar symptoms and unnecessarily label a person with a mental illness with a stigma that is hard to overcome.

Aluminum is another no-no for me in cooking utensils.  It also is absorbed by some people and is difficult or impossible for the body to eliminate.  Therefore it accumulates in places that are damaging to the person, sometimes in the brain.

So think carefully about the cookware you use.  As far as I know there is no problem with stainless steel utensils, and it is better to avoid non-stick coatings such as Teflon, aluminum and copper cookware. Oh, yes, please use glass containers for use in the microwave rather than plastics.
